Teacher of Adults: Literacy Educator Certificate Program

Elective Course Outline

COURSE NAME Planning Programs for Employment Outcomes
COURSE
(Module)
Description
The intent of this course is to help you gain an understanding of how to plan programs and services to meet the unique needs of learners who have employment-related goals. Like the literacy planning that practitioners do with learners themselves, planning programs—in an ideal world—would be an all inclusive participatory process. Situations, however, are hardly ever ideal. In fact, in some types of programs practitioners may not have the authority to take on the role of program planner.

The information in the study guide, the discussions you'll have with other course participants and the course instructor, the learning activities and assignments that you'll complete are meant to provide you with an increased understanding of program planning in general and program planning for a specific purpose, like employment-related outcomes.
