Course Description: In Foundational Strategies both theories and practical knowledge about how adults learn to read, write, use numbers and become self-directed life-long learners are explored. Teacher of Adults – Literacy Educator Fieldwork Placement 60 (max) Successful Completion of All Instructor-led Courses (five core courses and one elective)
Course Description: In this course, the final one in the Certificate Program, educators apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations by arranging to work, as a volunteer, in a literacy program. The placement will be supervised by the course facilitator and will rely on the development, by the course participant, of a detailed learning plan.
